Purchased a puppy, aussiedoodle-2019. Typical Amish style farm-
-Did ask to see parents was shown both. I took her word it was the parents.
- there was a lot of puppies I won't disagree there.
- the puppy area was warm and clean.
- all puppies had first shots, microchips, vet cert , with 2yr genetic testing/guaranteed. ( realize if you were to return a genetically defunct dog it would be killed remember that).
- I did call the vet who signed off. They were very hesitant and upset I even questioned the legitimacy of their sign off. I was doing due diligence. They did cite privacy on their clients.
- I did do a lot of research before hand , reviews, calls looking into the business.
- I did read a lot of bad review from a couple outspoken puppymill critics. They've changed their name a lot over the years. If it was a mill, they've either cleaned up or have fixed the concern other then the large amount of dogs on the property.
- after we picked one out I did really question whether we made a bad decision, but the dog has turned out like any other dog.
He has developed epilepsy, but from the vet and a lot of reading poodles are high on the list for developing it so it might be just a coincidence. .

Finall take- do your research/ homework, call, ask as many questions as possible , see their living conditions, see the parents, ask for references on other dogs sold. Any legitimate person will gladly answer and show you records and parents/ certification. If any of these are met with hesitation, walk away or report it if its that bad.
