We were searching for three months. The process was definitely overwhelming but we did our research, spoke with friends who have doodles, and at one point I had a spreadsheet going to compare breeders! The stressful part was deciding which breed generation we wanted and what were the differences. We communicated with Stetson’s mostly by text and once over the phone. Prior to making my deposit, I wrote a post on Doodle groups on Facebook to find out if anyone else got puppies from Stetson's Doodles to make sure this was a legit breeder and connected with a couple of them and they helped share their experience with me. This made me feel better about my choice. We were lucky to get on a waitlist in September for a puppy to take home in November, so this was a huge plus. We were also looking for a medium F1B Goldendoodle and looking at the parents, this was the right litter choice for us. Most breeders we checked out had mini or standard and not medium.

*Pros*
We got a great pup from the Stetson and when we got Echo, it shows that he was well fed and taken good care of. Stetson also provided a fairly accurate assessment of Echo's temperament during the choosing day and we couldn't be happier with our choice. As a pup, Echo is smart, curious, very food motivated, unafraid of anything (except the stairs but he got over that too!), and very fond of everyone he meets. Stetson's doodles were also within the price range of our budget and they always responded to my questions when asked.

*Cons*
The biggest con I would say was communication. While I wasn't hoping for a weekly update on how the puppies were doing, I did wish they would share some updates with us. As a first time puppy owner, I was eager and excited and had a lot of questions. He did respond to my messages but sometimes it took a few days.
